Out of all the different treatments I have tried this one is the only one that has made some sort of difference. I make sure to apply it directly under the raised part of my nail as recommended by my podiatrist. Just to note I am clipping and filing my nails weekly so the raised part does not get caught on anything. I do run quite a bit, so keeping the nail short has also made a huge difference. In short, the solution is only one part of the process but managing the nail growth is the other half of the story. I wish I knew the latter sooner.
